Main Event: Jon Jones (-285) vs. Alexander Gustafsson (+225)
The last time Jon Jones and Alexander Gustafsson confronted, roughly a year-and-a-half past, it was the former who emerged with the win. Though many thought Gustafsson might’ve had himthe judges granted Jones a unanimous victory.
The odds last time around, however, were even more in favor of Jones, together with Gustafsson putting everywhere between +800 and +1000 lines. That they’re so close this time around speaks to how well he cried in the first assembly, while also nodding towards how much he’s improved his fast-twitch endurance.
Even so, Jones, who has not fought 17 weeks, has largely dominated everyone he’s come across from the Octagon. This battle should take more gasoline than he’s accustomed to using up, but he must pull it out and win the light heavyweight belt.
