On the scoreboard, Patrick Mahomes II and the Chiefs offense have put up 135 points through 4 weeks of the NFL season. The Texas Tech phenom has picked up exactly where he left off, and hes done it without his game-breaking broad receiver Tyreek Hill. They arent given to earn a significant impact on the game, although the game has contributed somewhat. It has not become the eye test the analytics say it as well. Its been Travis Kelce who continues to be the youthful boys security blanket while Mahomes II spreads the ball to multiple goals all over the yard. Theres absolutely no doubt that Kelce would probably be his appearance contrary to the Colts defense.
The defense continues to fight offense has been. Has the Chiefs defense appeared as poor? It has not. They continue to be in the base of the league in defense. That puts a good deal of tension week in and week out to the offense, and thats the reason why they were scraping every week in Detroit. Can this team catch it is milled in the front? That is.
Andrew Luck declaring his retirement flipped this Colts year on its head before it even started. We dont understand how this particular team will be affected by the loss of Andrew Luck. So, lets discuss what we do understand. We are aware this team is tied for the division lead and 2-2. Unusual? I think so. We are aware that Jacoby Brissett is a quarterback in the NFL. Is he a top ten QB in the league, certainly not. The analytics say that the Colts offense is right out the top . Considering theyre surpassing expectations.
On the other side of the globe, the Colts seem a Good Deal like the Chiefs. This Colts defense is struggling. Me surprise. They were among the most advanced defenses in the league last season. They moved from approximately 29th in efficacy in 2017 to approximately 10th last season. This was in large part since they drafted a beginner linebacker that led to the team in tackles in Darius Leonard. He even also made the seven of this team better. The secondary showed improvement last season, but that the defensive device is struggling this year. They are ranked 31st in soccer at DVOA. That is not bad, that is gross. Something tells me these stats will not get better on Sunday when they face the crime all year they will see.
Prediction:
This complete is tricky for me. On the outside, youd think its a slam dunk over. Two 6 offenses against defenses but it feels too large to me. This complete opened at 57. The gambling market has since dropped between stage and a stage since the opener. I have to agree with the transfer here. In order for an NFL complete to hit on 57 points, a lot has to go right. Do I expect the Chiefs to do their part, yes I do. It isnt automatic that hang on a crooked number on the road and the Colts are going to go into Arrow Head Stadium.
