Tampa Bay maintained their first win of the newest NFL season, holding off the final drive of Carolina to maintain.
With time running out between the Panthers along with the NFC South rivals trailing by six inside their home season opener, Cam Newton led Carolina in a drill down the area.
They looked to be heading for a first win of this year, or overtime, since they reached the redzone, however the Buccaneers came up with a late goal-line rack to make sure Newton, despite 324 passing yards, was held without a touchdown for the second consecutive week.
