A Marshall store had more than 350 imitation designer items seized Wednesday, Dec. 9, by Immigrations and Customs Enforcement personnel under Operation Holiday Hoax, a nationwide initiative to identify and seize counterfeit merchandise.
From the store, 370 items worth an estimated total $40,000 were seized. Items included in this seizure were clothing, wallets, purses, sunglasses and other accessories bearing false labels of Polo, Chanel, Prada, Gucci and Louis Vuitton, said Gail Montenegro, spokesperson for ICE in Chicago, Ill. Although no arrests have been made in Marshall related to this operation, seven individuals in New York and Texas were arrested and charged as a result of the operation.

I am just having a hard time understanding what the big deal is for this operation. I’ve bought MANY items from this store, and I’ve loved them all! If this store is shut down I am going to be sad. It doesn’t take a rocket scientist! And I know if they sold purses that said “Just like Chanel” canada goose outlet in usa I would not have bought them, I’m sure many others wouldn’t have either. One of our reporters visited the store yesterday, and by his observations the store was stocked with merchandise and open for business. Speculation otherwise is just that.
