Brock Whiston denied Excellent Britain team-mate Alice Tai a gold medal in the World Para-swimming Championships.
Tai, who has swept all before her week, explained the medley as a”bonus occasion” on her program also was fourth.
Whistonin her first key championship, beat American Jessica Long in to instant.
The American’s entire album was taken by her.
There were silvers on the evening of activity for Bethany Firth, Reece Dunn along with Ellie Robinson.
This means GB have 39 awards, such as 15 golds, entering Sunday’s final day of competition.
Whiston, 22, has hemiplegia, which causes weakness and was a talented swimmer in non-disabled competition before she realised that she was qualified for Para-swimming.
“When I was about 15 I was starting to discover things difficult in practice and was suffering with a lot of dislocations in my shoulder,” she told BBC Sport.
“We had been nationals a couple years back and one of those English Para-swimming staff asked me if I had ever wondered para-swimming, which I had not.
“I saw Ellie Simmonds’s 400m freestyle race London 2012 and also to be here after in her footsteps is just amazing.”
Whiston’s power is her breaststroke and despite turning 10 seconds behind Tai to the breaststroke leg, it took her less than 25m to reevaluate her team-mate and take a lead which she never looked like losing.
She finished in two moments 35.30 seconds, beating Long’s old mark, set at the US Paralympic trials in 2012 by 0.7secs.
“To have hurried Jess and Alice, two of the greatest swimmers in this class, and come away with a gold is wonderful,” she added.
“I don’t believe it has sunk . Jess’s world list was amazing and to now hold it, I can’t ask for much more in my very first big championship.”
While Tai said that she was happy with her display whiston, who was also a part of the medley relay on Friday, goes again on Sunday at the breaststroke where she is preferred to get a third golden.
“I understand Brock has got an insanely powerful breaststroke so that my coach’s game plan was’Go out difficult and should you perish, at least die trying!’ And that’s just what happened,” she explained.
“Halfway down the breaststroke leg, I couldn’t feel my entire body and when I turned on the freestyle I thought’oh dear’.
“However, I have not trained for the medley – that I do not train breaststroke whatsoever and fourth is a good outcome.”
Paralympic champion Robinson saw her S6 50m butterfly world record of 35.22secs disappear at the hands of 14-year-old Chinese rival Yuyan Jiang who was winning her third gold of this week.
The 18-year-old from Northampton has vowed to utilize the defeat to market her on.
“I’m really, really disappointed, not with coming moment, but my time was not as near my PB since I would want it to be,” she said after finishing 35.61secs with Jiang clocking 34.86.
“I knew it’d be quite difficult because the Chinese girl has done really well here but I will go out and use it as motivation.
“She is not too far front of me and hopefully I can use it in order to question myself longer in training. Having that danger is fine but now I want to place myself at the ideal place for Tokyo so when we stand around the block nobody knows who’ll win.”
Harry Maguire was the transfer priority of his manager also, after hammering while being jeered against former team Leicester, the England defender is starting to demonstrate his value.
