After winning the hearts of pretty much everyone, Ajax will be eager to replicate (or better) the pops of last season — and I am backing them to start their own campaign with a flourish against Lille.
Erik ten Hag stays with the team, that is a massive boost, and I am convinced they will not let standards drop a lot, as they have retained the majority of last year’s squad — with the obvious exceptions of Matthijs de Ligt along with Frenkie de Jong.
Lille have had a mixed start to their seasonlosing their opening two Ligue 1 off games from Amiens and Reims–and it’s a tall order to find anything.
RB Leipzig seem great this year, and that I have them beating Benfica away from house.
While on top of the Bundesliga sits — the side have tasted defeat in the home this effort — a 2-0 loss to Porto.
A 3-1 away win in a Borussia Monchengladbach outfit a few months ago is evidence of the prowess on the road of Leipzig, and I’m confident about their opportunities on Tuesday.
Finally, I have RB Salzburg beating at Genk.
Genk have fought domestically this season, losing to Zulte Waregem KV Mechelen and Sporting Charleroi and winning only one away game so far.
Salzburg have dominated event domestically, and past season showed their art to the European phase, winning both Europa League set matches against Leipzig Celtic and Rosenborg, before succumbing at the knockouts to Napoli.
This can be home side.
