Clash of Champions ended in fashion with a surprise attack on the Universal champion after the event finished.
Seth Rollins was observing on the ramp after disposing Braun Strowman in a brutal defence of his name when the stadium lights went out and Bray Wyatt’s Fiend assaulted him.
The Fiend gave Rollins a Mandible Claw at the closing seconds of a Clash where hands changed and a Sister Abigail on.
Rollins and Strowman had lost the Raw tag-team titles to Bobby Roode, Dolph Ziggler & and that may be Strowman’s shot at the name gone, using Rollins likely to be contested by The Fiend.
Kofi Kingston remains on top as the WWE champion following an emotional triumph over Randy Orton in a very long game.
Kingston got his feet on the bottom rope to break the pinfall although orton almost had the name won with an RKO and if Orton missed with a punt, Kingston struck a Trouble in Paradise to win the game.
In what will be a strong competitor for the game of the night, Becky Lynch retained the women’s name in a brawl with all the Sasha Banks.
Banks and used steel seats on each other and Lynch fought all over the arena but it came after the winner had accidentally struck on the referee, resulting in her loss from disqualification but retention of the title under the champions’ advantage principle.
The other women’s title match on the card was a much shorter affair, with Bayley after ramming Charlotte Flair’s head into an exposed turnbuckle collecting a win.
Before her tactics could be revealed after the match, Bayley sprinted to the locker room along with her title belt.
Erick Rowan defeated Roman Reigns in a barbarous no disqualification match where Luke Harper made a shock return to provide an assist for his former Bludgeon Brothers partner to pick up the biggest victory of his career with weapon spots and filled.
Alexa Bliss & Nikki Cross stay the women champions after beating Fire & Desire but there was a title switch in the men’s SmackDown division with The Revival.
Shinsuke Nakamura retained the Intercontinental title by defeating The Miz and AJ Styles is the United States champion following his win over Cedric Alexander about the Clash pre-show.
